Within every community we serve (and there’s a few!), you’ll find an inspiring number of supporters giving their time, talent and treasure to the Y. This month, we would like to sincerely thank and throw the “donor spotlight” on Sanjanth, a member at the Dancel Y in Ellicott City.
When asked why she gives to the Y she shared with us:
“I like the Big Brothers Big Sisters at the Y program. It’s so important for adolescentsand young people to have someone to mentor/guide them or even to spend time with them and encourage them to pursue their interests. I love the sense of community at the Dancel Y. I am a regular at some of the group classes and over the weekend my son and I sometimes spend a few hours there either at the gym or racing each other on the stationary bikes or in the pool followed by playing table tennis. Exercising together at the Y gives me and my son (who is almost a teenager!) a chance to spend quality time together.”
